About Us

Jump Start Builders is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing children and youth to construction, skilled trades, and STEAM learning through hands-on, age-appropriate experiences. We believe that curiosity, confidence, and career awareness should begin early, not after the window of opportunity has passed in a child’s life in their late teen years!

Our programs are designed to bridge learning and real-world application by using construction as a powerful teaching tool. Many see STEM/STEAM as Computer Technology advancement, but STEM/STEAM is so much more than that. We provide guided activities, project-based learning, and community partnerships, where participants explore math, science, engineering, literacy, and technology in ways that are tangible, engaging, and meaningful.

Jump Start Builders serves children, families, and educators with a strong emphasis on early childhood and elementary learning. We intentionally create experiences that support workforce readiness over time by building foundational skills such as problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and self advocacy. These skills are essential for success in construction careers and beyond.

We partner with schools, early learning centers, nonprofits, municipalities, and industry leaders to deliver programming that reflects real career pathways while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our work is especially focused on expanding access and exposure for communities that have historically been underrepresented in skilled trades and STEAM fields.

At Jump Start Builders, we do more than teach tools and techniques. We help young learners see themselves as builders, thinkers, and future leaders. By connecting education to opportunity, we are laying the groundwork for a stronger, more inclusive workforce and a future built with purpose.
